Etisalat and RIM Announce the first fully Arabic BlackBerry device for Customers

Etisalat and Research In Motion (RIM) today announced the launch of the first fully Arabic BlackBerry® 8700g device with Arabic language text input support and an Arabic user interface.

Customers will be able to compose Arabic e-mails, browse Arabic websites and input Arabic text for personal information management (PIM) applications.

For corporate customers BlackBerry Enterprise Server software tightly integrates with IBM® Lotus® Domino® and Microsoft® Exchange and Novell® GroupWise® environments and features a broad set of IT policy controls that allows IT departments to manage deployments

In addition to BlackBerry Enterprise Server, Etisalat also offers BlackBerry® Internet Service for individuals and smaller businesses. This service allows users to access up to ten supported personal email accounts (including most popular ISP email accounts) from a single device.

Currently customers who subscribe to Etisalat BlackBerry service will get the first month free of charge; this offer is only valid till 11^th of October and allows Etisalat customers to experience the BlackBerry service. Etisalat is now offering the BES server software free of charge and this is to enable all companies regardless of their business size to be able to deploy the BlackBerry solution, which is now an essential business tool for all companies.
