What is Etisalat Smart living Monitoring Service?

Etisalat’s “Smart Living Monitoring Service” offering consists of exclusive Ring bundles to address the monitoring requirement of customer inside, outside and around their homes. Each bundle is built around a Ring doorbell or security camera with an easy payment plan and includes Ring Protect Lifetime Basic Plan (Video recording) along with extended three-year limited warranty.

Etisalat will also manage the customer experience right from helping customer to choose the right bundles for their requirement and installing the products and providing after sales service free of cost.

Etisalat Smart living Monitoring Service is an add-on service on top of your eLife account. (only elife 2p lite& 3p Service are eligible to subscribe).

How much Etisalat Smart living Monitoring Services will cost me?

Etisalat will offer below bundles on easy payment plan. All Ring products in the bundle come with Lifetime Video recording* and a 3-year limited warranty (faulty units will be replaced). Etisalat will provide free installation and aftersales service.

  • In case of unavailability of necessary Ethernet ports on your eLife router to connect your cameras, additional Power over Ethernet switch will be required to complete the installation. Charges for the POE switch of AED 350
  • If required, extended cable for the outdoor cameras at AED 50 per camera.
  • In case customer wishes to install cameras outside the Wi-Fi coverage range, an extended Wi-Fi coverage solution i.e eLife Home Zone service will be required to complete the installation.

Can I purchase Etisalat Smart Living monitoring offers on Ring.com?

No. Etisalat Smart Living monitoring offers are not available on ring.com.

Can I add multiple Etisalat Monitoring Services to my eLife account?

Yes, you can add multiples of monitoring services to your account and each will be charged saperately.

Are there any Exit Charges?

In case of early termination before the 36 months, an exit charge will apply. The exit charge amount will be equivalent to the monthly rental multiplied by the remaining months from the 36 months.

Customers will continue enjoying the free subscription to the Protect Lifetime Basic Plan (Video recording) and the 3 years warranty on the device.

What happened in case customer requested for external shifting?

Unfortunately, external shifting service for smart living monitoring service is currently not available. The customer has to pay the exit charge amount mentioned above incase the shift is requested before the completion of 36 months.

However, customers will still enjoy the free subscription to the Protect Lifetime Basic Plan (Video recording) and the 3 years warranty on the device.

Where can I see and control my camera stream?

Out Etisalat technician staff will help you in setting up “Ring App” on to your devices, in which it will enable you to view and control your camera stream.

Setting up the Ring App can be done through the following simple steps;

  • Open Up the Ring App and create account.
  • Select the device you are planning to setup
  • Name your device and confirm your location.
  • Put the Ring camera into Setup Mode (click on orange button)
  • Connect to the Ring’s broadcasted Wi-Fi signal
  • Return to the Ring App and select your home Wi-Fi
  • Input password, and your App is ready to use

If my internet service is not from Etisalat can I still get Smart living services?

No. You need to have an eLife account to be able to subscribe to Smart living service from Etisalat

How frequent should I recharge the Battery for my Ring Stickup Battery Camera?

Your Indoor Camera Battery can last up to 90 days. More information on how to recharge your battery will be available on your Ring App, visit https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032436352-Charging-the-Battery-for-your-Stick-Up-Cam-Battery-Solar-3rd-Generation- or Call 101.

What’s Standard Ring Protect Plan? How much does it cost?

Ring Protect is a comprehensive service that activates video recording, photo capture, saving and sharing for Ring Camera’s and Video Doorbells. There are two tiers of Ring Protect: Basic and Plus.

Ring Protect Basic activates video recording, photo capture, and sharing for individual Ring Doorbells and Cameras. It saves all your videos to your Ring account for up to 60 days and photos for up to 7 days, so you can review what you missed and share what's important. Ring Protect Basic subscriptions start at $3/AED11 a month per device. Ring Protect Basic only covers one device.

Ring Protect Plus adds even more to your home security. It includes video recording, photo capture, and sharing for unlimited Ring Doorbells and Cameras at your home. Ring Protect Plus subscriptions start at $10/AED36.7 a month per home.

Etisalat customers subscribed to monitoring service will enjoy free life time subscription to Ring Protect Lifetime Basic Plan.

What are the benefits of the Ring Protect Lifetime Basic Plan?

With the Ring Protect Lifetime Basic plan, customers can review, save and share videos and photos for the useful lifetime of the device.

How does the Ring Protect Lifetime Basic Plan work?

The Ring Protect Lifetime Basic Plan covers the lifetime of the Etisalat Smart-Living monitoring Bundle device. The subscription turns on automatically when a customer sets up the device in the Ring app.

What is the Difference between Etisalat’s Ring Protect Lifetime Basic Plan v/s the standard Ring Protect Basic Plan?

Exclusive Etisalat offering: Ring Protect Lifetime Basic Plan bundled for free with Etisalat Smart living monitoring offers, it has all the features and benefits of Ring protect Basic Plan.

The difference is that the lifetime plan does not require any renewal charges. All payments are made in advance and products also comes with extended 3-year warranty.

Regular Market offer: Customer choose to enrol in a paid subscription of Ring Basic Plan for video recording and sharing based on monthly or annual recurring subscription payment.

Can a customer buy the Ring Protect Lifetime Basic Plan for their non-Etisalat Smart-living monitoring service Bundle devices?

No, we do not sell the Ring Protect Lifetime Basic Plan as a standalone subscription. This plan can only be purchased with the device.

Does the Ring Protect Basic plan available with the Etisalat Smart-Living Monitoring Service offers cover every Ring device at someone’s home?

No. The lifetime Ring Protect Basic plan purchased with an Etisalat Smart-living monitoring offer only applies to the device bundled with the package. Any separate devices will need to be covered by their own Ring Protect Plus or Basic Plan.

What happens if a customer cancels the Ring Protect Lifetime Basic Plan?

If a customer cancels the Ring Protect Lifetime Plan, all benefits of the Ring Protect Lifetime Basic Plan including video saving and sharing will be lost. Any video recordings that are stored in the customer's account will be deleted as a result of cancellation.

If the customer cancels the Ring Protect Lifetime Basic Plan, can the customer get the Ring Protect Lifetime Basic Plan back?

No. Once the Protect Lifetime Basic Plan is cancelled it cannot be reverted back, and customer will not be eligible for refund.

Can I purchase an Etisalat Smart Living monitoring service bundle from Etisalat and upgrade the Ring Protect Lifetime Basic Plan on the device to a Ring Protect Plus Plan?

Yes. Doing so, however, will place you in a Ring Protect Plus Plan with a monthly or annual recurring payment. If you cancel the new Ring Protect Plus Plan, your device will revert to a Ring Lifetime Protect Basic Plan.

I already have a Ring Protect Plus Plan for another Ring device. Can I extend that coverage to a device from an Etisalat Smart Home Security bundles?

Yes. There will be no change in the coverage of Ring Protect Plus for the existing device and there will be no additional cost for covering the new Etisalat Smart living monitoring service Bundle device with a Ring Protect Plus Plan as long as the new Etisalat Smart living monitoring Bundle is set up at the same location as the existing device.

In case you cancel the Ring Protect Plus Plan, your Etisalat Smart living monitoring bundle device will revert to a Ring Protect Lifetime Basic Plan.

What is the difference between Indoor Cam and Stick Up Cam?

The main difference between Indoor Cam and Stick Up Cam are their placement and how they receive power.

Indoor Cam is an indoor-only camera that plugs into standard power outlets for nonstop power.

Stick Up Cam is a versatile camera that goes anywhere indoors or out. It’s weather-resistant and comes in different models and power options: Battery, plug-in/PoE(Power over Ethernet)

What privacy features are included with Indoor Cam?

Indoor Cam lets you disable motion recording and audio right from the app. Plus, you can also use the app to turn off motion alerts, so you don’t get notifications while you walk around your home. You can also schedule your motion alerts to turn on at the same time you typically leave the house and turn off at the time you typically return.

Does the ring doorbell actually ring?

Yes, we engineered Ring Doorbell to emit an alert outside of the home.

Does the Ring Doorbell and Camera Need a Wi-Fi Connection to Work?

To access the smart features on your Ring Doorbell and Camera’s, you need a strong internet connection. Without it, the device has no way to share data and other information with the app on your phone.

Can I share access of my Ring Video Doorbell and Camera’s with my family members?

Yes, you can permit to connect to multiple users by sharing access from your account to other devices. You as admin user of your account can remove or add access anytime you want. And it is simpler than you might think!

Where can I see how much battery charge is left on the device?

Ring App shows much battery power is left on the battery powered Ring devices.

How does the 3-year warranty work?

If an Etisalat Smart living monitoring service Bundle device is within the 3-year warranty and requires a replacement, Etisalat service team members will fulfill the request. In order to keep the videos from their old device and have them transferred to the new device, the customer must keep the original device on their account until they set up the replacement device. The replacement device will then get the videos, the subscription, and the remaining warranty. The original device will no longer have the Etisalat Smart Home Security Bundle benefits.
