What are Freedom plans?

Freedom plans are the all-new postpaid mobile plans designed to give you the freedom of choice and simplicity with more data and minutes with or without a contract in addition to free UAE Wi-Fi hours access.

Don’t want a contract? No worries, you can still get Freedom plans’ incredible data and minutes allowances without a contract. And for a limited time period only, etisalat presents the Etisalat Data Festival where you can enjoy even greater data allowances at no extra cost.

How to benefit from the 100 free UAE Wi-Fi hours?

With Freedom plans, you will receive 100 free UAE Wi-Fi hours monthly to enjoy free internet access at more than 350 locations including shopping malls across the the UAE when you connect to “UAE Wi-Fi by etisalat”. For first-time users, simply follow the sign-up instructions after connecting.

  • Select “UAE Wi-Fi by etisalat” to be directed automatically to the Wi-Fi landing page on your internet browser
  • On some devices, you may need to open your internet browser and type a website address – for example – to be directed to the Wi-Fi landing page

How do I subscribe to the add-ons?

How can I use the included flexible minutes?

Flexible minutes can be used for calls to local mobiles and landlines in the UAE as well as to more than 170 international destinations. For the list of countries included in the flexible minutes, click here .

Calls to special numbers (example: numbers starting with 600) are not part of the included minutes and will be charged separately.

Local minutes can be used to make calls to local mobiles and landlines in the UAE. Calls to special numbers (example: numbers starting with 600) are not part of the included minutes and will be charged separately.

How much will I be charged if I’ve completely consumed my Freedom plan allowance?

Calls outside your plan allowances are charged per second.

How will I be charged if I subscribe or migrate to a Freedom plan in the middle of the month?

Your Freedom plan rental and your minutes and data benefits for that month will be on pro rata basis.

Can I change to these plans if I’m an existing Prepaid user?

Yes, you can change to any Freedom plan of your choice. You can visit your nearest etisalat outlet or call the contact center at 101 for information on the required documents.

Can I change to these plans if I’m an existing Postpaid user?

If your existing postpaid plan has a minimum commitment that hasn’t been fulfilled, you will need to settle the relevant early contract exit charges prior to migration to the Freedom plan.

If your plan has no minimum term, you can migrate your existing plan to a Freedom plan of your choice. Please note that if you have a preferred number on your existing plan, it will not carry over to the new plan.

Can I cancel my Freedom plan with contract?

If your Freedom plan has a 12-month minimum commitment period, you can downgrade to a lower rental or cancel the plan. However, you will be required to pay an early exit charge that is equivalent to 1 month of your plan’s charges in addition to any other relevant charges to your usage if applicable.

How can I make a payment for my ceased account, if I am outside the UAE?

You can make payment via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to the etisalat account as per the details below:
