What is the Daily Social Data Plan?

The Daily Social Data Plan offers all etisalat prepaid users 150MB daily to access the Facebook, WhatsApp, BBM, Twitter, LinkedIn, BOTIM* and C’Me* applications for only AED 2/day.

*The Social Data allowance may be used for messaging. For audio and video calls on BOTIM and C’Me, you will need to subscribe to the Internet Calling Plan.

What is the Monthly Social Data Plan?

The Monthly Social Data Plan offers all etisalat prepaid and postpaid users 1GB monthly to access the Facebook, WhatsApp, BBM, Twitter, LinkedIn, BOTIM* & C’Me* applications for only AED 49/month.

*The Social Data allowance may be used for messaging. For audio and video calls on BOTIM and C’Me, you will need to subscribe to the Internet Calling Plan.

What can I do in these social applications?

You can perform activities such as:

- Access Facebook to send messages, add friends, upload photos, update profile, like posts, etc.
- Use WhatsApp to chat, send and receive pictures, or videos and broadcast messages
- Use Twitter to tweet, reply to a tweet, re-tweet, follow others, search for trending topics, etc.
- Log in to BBM to chat, create groups, share photos, update profile and broadcast messages
- Log in to LinkedIn to view posts, post updates, browse contacts and send messages
- Send or receive messages and chat with your friends via BOTIM or C’Me; for audio and video calls, you will need to subscribe to the Internet Calling Plan
- External links to view articles, photos and videos will be charged at a promo rate of 30 fils/MB

How do I activate the Social Data Plans?

● To activate the Daily Social Data Plan, dial *170#, or text “DSP” to 1010
● To activate the Monthly Social Data Plan, dial *170#, or text “SP” to 1010
● Once the plan has been activated, a confirmation SMS will be sent

Do I have to activate the Social Data Plans every day and month?

Once your Daily Social Data Plan is activated, you'll enjoy 150MB of social access every day. The plan is automatically renewed every 24 hours, at the same time you first activated the plan. You'll stay subscribed to the plan until you deactivate it. For example, if you activate the plan at 7pm, the plan will remain active for 24 hours, and get renewed the following day at 7pm.
If you opt to activate the Monthly Social Data Plan, you'll enjoy 1GB of social access every month and the plan will be automatically renewed every 30 days.

Can I deactivate the plan?

You can deactivate the Daily Social Data Plan at any time by texting “C DSP” to 1010. Access to social applications that is part of this plan will be disabled. Similarly, you can deactivate the Monthly Social Data Plan by texting “C SP” to 1010.

Can I access the internet or watch a video if I subscribe to the Social Data Plans?

The Social Data Plans are designed to cover all your social networking needs. If you wish to browse the internet or access any other specific application, you would need to activate a regular data package.

Can I still enjoy my current prepaid tariff plan?

Yes, you can continue to benefit from your existing tariff. Any social network data usage will first be consumed from your Social Data Plan, and any usage beyond that will be consumed from other existing data allowances that you may have.

I have an existing data plan – can I still activate the Social Data Plans?

Yes, you can still activate the Social Data Plans even if you already have an existing data plan.

Can I use the Social Data Plans on my BlackBerry?

You can enjoy the Social Data Plans if your device runs on the BB10 operating system or newer.
