What is the Upgrade Anytime program?

Upgrade Anytime is a new program offered to you for free when you purchase a latest phone on a SmartPay plan from Etisalat.
Simply purchase a latest phone on a 12, 18 or 24-month SmartPay plan and subscribe to our exclusive program. You can bring back your phone and get a new one after completing 90 days of your subscription at no extra charges.

What plan do I need to choose to be eligible for the Upgrade Anytime program?

All you need to do is to purchase any of the latest iPhone devices (iPhone11, iPhone 11 Pro or iPhone 11 Pro Max) or any of the latest Samsung devices include (Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra) on any SmartPay plan (12, 18 or 24 month) and you can then join the program for free.

Please note that trade-in will only be applicable after you complete 90 days of your subscription to the old smartphone.

What phones can I get with Upgrade Anytime?

  • Samsung Galaxy S20

I have purchased iPhone 11 Pro and joined the program. Now I want to get a bigger screen size, what should I do?

Not to worry – as a subscriber of Upgrade Anytime, you can trade-in your iPhone with a new one after completing 90 days of your subscription to the current device. All you need to do is to wait 90 days from the day you join the program and then go to any of our selected upgrade locations to upgrade your iPhone 11 Pro to get the new one.

What phones can I use Upgrade Anytime on?

You need to purchase any of the devices below on a SmartPay contract:

  • Samsung Galaxy S20
  • Galaxy S20+
  • Galaxy S20 Ultra

What do I do if my phone is not working?

If your phone is not switching on or you are not able to make any calls, your current device will not be accepted.

What if my front screen is broken?

Your phone will be accepted if the screen is broken and/or it has any scratches, however, its’ inner LCD screen must not be damaged.

I am an existing subscriber of iPhone For Life. Can I upgrade my phone through the iPhone For Life program?

If you are an existing iPhone For Life customer on iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max or iPhone XR, you will be eligible to trade-in your current phone with the latest iPhone as per the accepted device conditions of your current iPhone For Life program.

After upgrading to the new iPhone and signing the contract, you can join the Upgrade Anytime program. You will then become eligible for a free trade-in after completing 90 days of your subscription date.

I purchased iPhone 11 but did not join the Upgrade Anytime program, can I do it now?

Yes, you have up to 14 days from the date you signed the contract to join the program and benefit from its’ features.

I have joined Upgrade Anytime with the iPhone 11, 64GB. Now I want more storage, but I want to get the same iPhone model. Can I still upgrade my phone?

Yes, you can still upgrade your phone with Upgrade Anytime. Once you complete 90 days of your subscription, you can return your iPhone 11, 64 GB to get a new iPhone 11 with a storage of your choice. You can even change the colour, screen size and instalment plan.

My phone is not broken, can I upgrade it?

Yes, you can return your current phone and get a new one as as per the accepted device conditions of the Upgrade Anytime program.

I have purchased the latest iPhone on a one-time payment, can I join Upgrade Anytime?

Upgrade Anytime is applicable to customers purchasing the latest iPhone on a SmartPay instalment plan only.

What will happen to my contract if I upgrade from an 18-month contract to a 12-month contract? Are there any additional charges for this upgrade?

With Upgrade Anytime, the remaining exit charges of your contract will be waived off and no additional fees will be applied at the time of the upgrade.

A new device monthly instalment plan will be applied based on the new signed contract and the selected model and capacity of the device.

I have already upgraded my phone with the Upgrade Anytime program, how many times I can continue upgrading it?

There is no limit to the number of times you upgrade your phone as long as you are on the Upgrade Anytime program and your device’s contract is valid. Please note that you can trade-in your phone only after completing 90 days of your subscription.
