Q. What is required to activate Etisalat’s roaming services?
Etisalat’s roaming services are activated by default on every Postpaid and Prepaid mobile lines.
Q. What are the standard roaming charges?
Etisalat’s standard roaming charges are as per the following:

Q. Is Roaming Data Disabled by default?
Yes, Roaming Data is disabled by default to avoid bill shocks. Subscribers need to subscribe to a roaming add-on containing roaming data allowances to use Data Roaming or unblock PAYG data to use roaming PAYG data. Subscribers can unblock the service and use it at standard rates by sending UBLOCK to 1010 (T&Cs apply).
Q. Do I need to pay rental for roaming add-ons while I am not roaming?
Most of the add-ons being introduced by Etisalat get charged while first usage is done in the Preferred Roaming Partner.
Q. From when does the validity of the pack start?
Validity of the pack starts from the first usage in the Roaming Network.
Q. What is meant by first usage?
First Usage applies from when Data is used or Incoming Voice Calls are received or Outgoing Voice Calls are made when overseas, in the Preferred Roaming Partners Networks.
Q. What are Flexi minutes?
A. Flexi Minutes include Incoming Roaming Calls, Local Outgoing calls, Call back to UAE & International Calls to 100+ countries.
Q. In which networks will these packs work?
These packs will work in Preferred Roaming Partners Networks of Etisalat.

Q. Do Roaming add-ons offer Data Lock feature?
Yes, these packs offer data lock feature wherein the data will not work on Non Preferred Roaming Network. However, customers can make or receive calls in non-preferred Roaming Network at standard roaming rates.
Q. Where can Umrah and Haj packs be used?
Umrah & Hajj pack can be used in any network in Saudi Arabia (Mobily, STC and Zain)

Q. Which network in the USA should I use to make and receive calls?
You are recommended to connect to AT&T USA’s network, enable roaming data along with the VoLTE option to make/receive calls. Please ensure your device is VoLTE compatiable.
Q. What does VoLTE offer?
The new generation of VoLTE technology offers you an enhanced experience with higher quality calls, the ability to browse the internet simultaneously while on a call, and heightened battery life.
Q. How do I enable VoLTE Calling on my device?
Firstly, please ensure your smartphone is VoLTE compatible. You will then need to enable Roaming Data plus, enable VoLTE calling your device to use it.
Q. Will I be able to send SMS using AT&T USA network while roaming?
Absolutely, SMS can be sent and received while using the AT&T USA network.
Q. Will I be able to activate or purchase add-ons using the code *177# code?
This is a USSD code and unfortunately you will no longer be able to dial to similar codes as these only work in LTE networks.
Q. Will I be able to latch onto the AT&T USA network without a data add-on?
Yes, you will be able to do so however you will need to keep your roaming data on.
Q. Will I need to change my data settings for VoLTE roaming?
Yes. roaming data is required to be enabled on your device in order to use VoLTE.
