Fibre To The Room

 

Fibre to the Room is a solution that supports customers in extending their internet Wi-Fi coverage across their home, be it a villa or an apartment. All routers will be connected using fibre optic cables reaching every room delivering gigabit Wi-Fi network within your home. This leads to a better Wi-Fi internet experience within your apartment or Villa.

 

 

The Fibre to the Room is available for all Etisalat elife customers who have an active internet line.

 

 

Service includes routers, fibre cables, sockets, and all accessories, as well as the installation and configuration of all items end to end. The Wi-Fi survey and design of the network plan are also part of the service at no extra cost.

 

Fibre to the Room service is charged at AED 129 per month (Excl 5% VAT). In case if the customer needs to do a stand-alone Wi-Fi survey, it costs AED 150 per visit. However, the visit charges will be waived off if the customer proceeds with the subscription.

 

Internet and Wi-Fi speeds are always delivered as per the best effort basis. The speed that is expected across the home will be closer to the speeds of the primary connection. However, the Fibre to the Room network can deliver speeds up to 1 Gbps.

 

 

With one service, you can cover an apartment or Villa of 5 bedrooms. However, this service can be expanded up to 3 services, making the service ideal for villas of up to 15-bedroom size.

 

 

Customer’s existing devices cannot be used as part of the service. Etisalat will use only Etisalat devices for this service. In addition, the devices that we provide will also enjoy up to 2 years warranty.

 

 

Fibre to the Room services can be moved free of charge.

 

 

To enable seamless movement within different rooms, we have ensured that the user name and password for the service will be same as that of the primary connection.

 

 

The Fibre to the Room service is a solution to enhance customers Wi-Fi coverage within their homes. It is not possible to extend outside the customer premise where the primary account is based. Cabling cannot be done for the civil structure outside the main building.

 

Definitely. You can choose to upgrade your Wi-Fi extension service from Home zone or Full Home Wi-Fi by placing an upgrade request in our retail stores or calling up customer care or with the help of My Etisalat UAE App. There will be no exit charges on your current Wi-Fi service, you will be upgraded to Fibre to the Room service on the new monthly rental.

Absolutely. Coverage and speed of the internet Wi-Fi in your entire home is dependent on the primary connection. The Fibre to the Room is supporting a speed up to 1Gbps.

You can simply call our toll-free customer care number at 800101 any time and place the subscription request for Fibre to the Room, or place the request by visiting any of our business centers, Mobile App and portal.

This service is offered with a 2 years contract. AED 1000 is charged as the exit fee if the customer ceases the service within first 2 years of subscription.

If the service is cancelled, the devices provided as part of this service will continue to be with the customer.
